THE OMEGA PROJECT BIO

The Omega Project, based out of Santa Cruz, formed out of the urgent need for THIS generation, to take up the cause of True Self Liberty. With core goals of building diverse community around sustainable practices, fostering artistic creativity, and helping to heal Creation's age old afflictions, The Omega Project bring a sense of family and community to every event. Well known for their intimate acoustic heartsongs, The Omega Project are growing into a well rounded jamband, able to musically soar mountainous vistas, while at the same time dipping to volumous depths. Lyrically, The Omega Project speaks truths not often heard in today's media frenzied world.

With strong bases in the Atlantic Southeast based out of New Orleans, LA, the Pacific Northwest based out of Santa Cruz, CA, and the Hawaiian Islands based out of Kauai, The Omega Project have played shows in Hawaii, America and Europe. Former shows include: opening for Bill Kreutzman and Steve Kimock at Tropical Jam 2004, opening for Michael Franti and Spearhead at Kauai Freedom Festival 2004, Seattle Hempfest 2005, Vashon Island Earth Fair 2005, House Band at 2005 High Times Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam, playing Peirce Brosnan's 50Th Birthday party, and many more.

Consisting of:
  • * Carlos Cardona on lead guitar and vocals,
  • * Patience Ahonui on rhythm guitar, bass, and vocals
  • * and Frank Apra on drums and percussion

    The Omega Project weave an intricate web of musical genre's, blending the line between where each style begins and ends. Ranging from R&B to Reggae, Funk to Punk, and Classical to rock, The Omega Project always have the perfect style for any setting.

    The Omega Project's most recent release: "DRINK DEEP", recorded in New Orleans, Louisiana, at Word of Mouth Studios, is 10 songs crafted over 8 months of slow & humid Southern days and sultry, hot musical nights. New Orleans-Comedy and Tragedy- 'Le Bon Temps Roule.' In honor of the Sacred & Precious Mother Earth, We invite you to "DRINK DEEP".
