The Omega Project will be hosting an evening of acoustic music on Thursday Oct. 2nd @ The Crow’s Nest in Santa Cruz.  Carlos will be playing an opening solo set, followed by an acoustic set featuring Patience and Carlos.
The show is from 8:30 - 11:30.  $5 and all ages.

Hi friends and thanks for all your support & emails & phone calls!! The Omega Project have been steadily arranging music towards their new CD and they are beginning to book their schedule for next year, “08”. We are still looking for more festivals for this next summer, if anyone knows of any opportunities, please give us a call. Our new home in Santa Cruz, California is going well. We have some radio and T.V. interviews coming soon!! And this winter will show us spending time in our good ol’ home state of Kentucky. Stay in touch!! Aloha Family!! - After 8 months in New Orleans and many many laughs and tears, The Omega Project is finally putting the final touches on our new disc. Entitled “Drink Deep”, I really think that we grew into these songs and We are all very very proud of these words and melodies… We are currently finishing the artwork and printing phase, but until we are complete I am going to post some of the new music on myspace.com/omegaprojectmusic ... Across all time and space I found you… Broken and exausted like you had been tossed upon the shores of my dreams.. And our eyes met. So familiar, so distinct, so meaningful. I recognize myself in your eyes, I sense our similarities and realize that you, like I are riding this crazy ship of earth to the final destination, like it or not. I remember that you, like I are awed to silence by the perfection of the Great Mystery. And you, like I sprung forth from a mother/creator, were seeded by a father/creator, and face the uncertanties of mortalisms austute dance. The winter of our ignorance is but a beat in the Grand Rythym, merely a note resontating momentarily then absolving into dissodent nothingness and returning to rest. Becoming a sea of infinite possabilites from which the next Ancient and Beautiful Melody will emerge. We appear seperate creatures in this amazing creation, our experience of us and them, you and I. However, the Spark of Life blazes greatly the length and breadth of each and every thread that makes up the tapestry of Creation, and everyone is a brick in the Great Wall. The Omega Project is currently residing in the “new” New Orleans and rehearsing lots of new songs in preparation for a new CD release at the top of the year. Look for Omega playing shows all around the ‘dirty’ south over the winter months!!

The Omega Project have been reunited in the ‘big’easy’ and are gearing up for a great show at Tipitina’s Uptown Thursday, October 12th!!! The opening band will be ‘Jealous Monk’ a local New Orleans favorite. Please come join us in celebration and dance as we begin our fall tour!! OMEGALOHA!!

Aloha everyone, first and foremost i would like to thanks High Times Magazine for linking us up on their website. We are under the link “jambands” under “sponsored links”. They get several hundred thousand hits per month, so hopfully some of that webtraffic will flow on over to us.... In other news, Carlos is currently in the studio working on a solo recording entitled “The 507 Effect”, and The Omega Project are planning to get together again this fall and work on some new material. It looks like most shows will be in the west coast area and as the plan develops, we will get you all the details so you can come dance away the summer with us!! The Omega Project would like to send a special prayer of love and condolences to all the friends and families effected by the flash flood on Kauai this past week where some of our dear friends have lost their lives.... these moments are precious and few and we must not waste a single one… a reminder to cherish each breath and please cherish each other. “We are one, and we are all the same, we are together forever in pleasure and in pain....”

Aloha Family! The Season of Carnival is drawing to a close with its climax of Mardi Gras. So make sure to get all of the partying out before Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent Season. The Omega Project wants to wish each and every person on earth a Happy Fat Tuesday! Catholic or not, this tradition originally was held annually by pagans in the far, far, distant past. Giving Thanks for The returning spring, and slaugtering a white calf and spreading its blood on the earth in thanksgiving, this holiday was adopted (ruthlessly stolen) by the catholic church in an attempt to get pagans to convert to the new religion while still celebrating their old ways. For Thousands of years people have been gathering in the streets or fields and giving thanks and praise for the change of the seasons----Lets us proudly and wholeheartedly continue in this ancient tradition.... Viva Carnival!! AUM
